END DISTRACTED DRIVING
What if this was the last time you would ever see your family or loved ones alive? This isn’t something that anyone wants to think about, but let’s face it, the number of distracted drivers who are on their phones is increasing by the day! The moment that you or your loved ones get into a motorized vehicle, you are at risk of getting into a collision with a distracted driver. Driving down the road, you can almost be guaranteed to see more than half of the people next to you either talking on their phones, texting, or playing a game on their phone. When a driver is engaged in their phones, their focus on the road is cut dramatically! That might not sound like much, but if you think about the number of accidents that occur each MINUTE due to distraction driving, you may think twice. In fact, the number of distracted drivers is higher than those who drive drunk! What’s scarier is that each of those drivers who are on their phones are too busy being distracted to be paying attention to the road ahead of them, causing a major accident. You may even be guilty of “just checking” your phone when a text comes through, or you may have forgotten to load your route before you hit the road. Regardless of the reason, distracted driving is dangerous, and distracted driving kills. According to the Unites States Department of Transportation, distracted driving claimed 3,477 American lives in 2015 alone. The truth is, that number is probably even larger.
